THIS PROJECT REVOLVES AROUND THE THEME OF PERFECT IMPERFECT.SO,I TOOK OLD DELHI AS MY INSPIRATION & BEGIN WITH LOOKING BACK INTO THE PAGES IN HISTORY OF DELHI.THE OLD MONUMENTS,NOT ONLY THE MONUMENTS BUT THE LOCAL RUSTIC BUILDINGS WITH MEMORIES, THE DUSTED VEHICLES,BROKEN DOORS AND WINDOWS,OLD LANES.MAY BE THE DEVELOPMENT  & INDUSTRIALIZATION HAS  FORMED A WHOLE NEW AND WELL DEVELOPED DELHI BUT THE REAL ROYAL BEAUTY REMAINS IN THE HEART OF OLD DELHI.

THIS PRINT PROJECT INVOLVES THE HANDMADE PRINTING TECHNIQUES.
TECHNIQUES: INTERCUTTING,ETCHING,BLEACH.
COLOURS : POSTER COLOR,OIL PASTELS & PHOTOINK.
THEME BOARD
The theme board includes all the important elements such as textures,buildings,doors,people & their lifestyle etc.Everything that inspired me even in pieces and bits are there in the board.Including colour palette & keywords.
         PRINTS & ILLUSTRATION
       Prints below are taken from the theme board and achieved by handmade print techniques.       
Inspired from the old cart wheels that runs in the small lanes of old Delhi.Used etching technique to etch out the forms,layer of masking tape is put on in order to achieve the raw surface of carts and in colours photoink,oil pastel and poster colours are used to achieve the desired textures.
Techniques used : etching,where the old mughal inspired architectures have been etched out. Intercutting and colours like photoink,oil pastel and poster colours and on top of it a layer of fevicol is used to give it a texture and depth.
Techniques used : etching where again the old architectural forms have been etched out but in small windows like shapes with colours including photoink,oil pastel and poster colours are used in order to achieve the desired forms & texture.
Taking inspiration from some of the mughal forms and then mixing etching with intercutting to give create a new form.And in colours photoink,oil pastel and poster colours are used in order to achieve the overlapping forms.
Techniques used : etching has been done with layer of masking tape to create forms of old rustic doors ,lock and in colours photoink,oil pastel and poster colours are used for texture in the print.
 Drawing inspiration from old Delhi maps & routes.
Techniques used : etching with intercutting have been used and in colours photoink,oil pastel and poster colours are used in this print.And bleach has been used for the white stokes for the backdrop.
